Creating safe space for dancers with eclectic backgrounds to connect with their physicality and flourish artistically.

Hone your creativity, refine your technique, and strengthen your whole body in this weekly class series on Tuesday and Wednesday nights! Dance Artist Belle Alvarez leads a beginner friendly, open level class for movers ages 14 and up who are curious about dance, love dance, and/or returning to dance. Dance For Every Body creates safe space for dancers with eclectic backgrounds to connect with their physicality and flourish artistically. We begin by connecting with our anatomy, feeling our weight on the floor, and testing coordination. Movement style is modern dance grounded in release technique and Belle’s experience within modern and contemporary forms. Expect to engage your muscles, sweat, smile, move to your fullest potential in a shared community experience, and perform movement that is expressive, fluid, and fun. No previous dance experience is necessary – movers of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend. Artists across modalities and those who danced in a past life or have dance on their bucket list are welcome.

Drop in rate is $15 general and $12 for seniors, students, and artists

What do I wear to class?

  • Wear comfortable clothes that show the line of your body. Leggings, yoga pants, form fitting sweatpants, t-shirts, and athletic tops work well. Dressing in layers helps as you're warming up. Bare feet are recommended, socks are optional.

Do I have to be available for each class to register?

  • Not at all! You may drop in as your schedule allows. If you'd like to commit to multiple classes, full time and half time class cards are available at a discount rate. Discounts are available for seniors, students, and artists.

I have two left feet. Is this class for me?

  • Yes! Class is designed to equip beginner and intermediate level movers with the foundations of contemporary technique. If this is your first time taking class, you're in the right place.
